The IELTS Preparation course aims to present opportunities for practice in the language and test skills required to successfully take the IELTS examination (Academic Module). The course aspires to prepare students who wish to take the exam or study at VIT (or a college or university that has established articulation agreements with the institute). The course will give students the knowledge to tackle the IELTS Academic Module with ease and confidence. The IELTS Preparation course provides a comprehensive introduction to the IELTS exam, with up-to-date resources, interactive materials, and practice tests. Like the actual test, course content is framed around the four skill areas. Each week, students will encounter engaging multimedia materials reviewing core language skills, test-taking techniques and strategies. In each of the four skill areas, students will be provided information about the structure of the test, in addition to the strategies needed to confidently take the exam. Weekly practice tests are provided with a mid and end of course test to give students an idea of where the fit within the IELTS spectrum.
